Energy Analytics: AI for Sustainability

Sustainability is often viewed from an operational point of view, with the environmental mission treated as a cost center in the business, as a risk or compliance to be managed. AI for Sustainability is more than just business—it provides an incredible opportunity to give back to the communities and share synergies. Businesses are increasingly Exploring energy innovations for the next generation of sustainable cloud technology. The focus of many businesses is to build a clean-energy future and make progress toward sustainability and business goals. Let us see a real life case study where we leveraged on Azure AI and IoT to help drive energy and cost savings for a Fragrances and Perfumes manufacturing industry in South East Asia. Using AI and Azure digital Twin, we helped the client understand the energy consumption data, co-relate it with the manufacturing processes and machine output, production quality. Using the IoT data for energy and power consumptions and the product and manufacturing processes data, we helped them understand the bottlenecks in their manufacturing processes and used AI based recommendations to suggest the best settings/ conditions for optimum production output. We used predictive ML to help forecast the energy and cost savings and with the help of Azure Digital twin, streamline their manufacturing processes, thus helping to to reduce their carbon footprint and navigate towards a sustainable future.
